Apple ain’t kidding with this one!

We got to witness the M1 chipset MacBook Air in the year 2020. What came after was MacBook Pro with M1 Max and M1 Pro chipsets next year in 2021. We got to witness the MacBook lineup shifting to Silicon in its full glory.

We were not even recovered from this and rumors started coming about the baffling MacBook Air M2 that was supposed to arrive last year. But sadly that did not happen and now it is being rumored that this might be the year we finally get to witness the M2 chipset.

The rumors about the MacBook Air M2 are nuts! The up-and-coming MacBook Air is supposedly going to be a love child between MacBook Air 2020, 24-inch iMac 2021, and the all-new MacBook Pro 2021.

What’s more, it is going to be powered by the all-new powerful M2 chipset which will completely overtake the performances of both the M1 in MacBook Air as well as the M1 chipset in MacBook Pro of entry-level. Nuts right?!

Without further ado, this is what we know from leaks and rumors about the extremely powerful MacBook Air M2:

Apple MacBook Air M2 Specs

The name of the device has not been confirmed yet but the M2 chip present is supposed to make it the MacBook Air M2. The most common and most exaggerated rumor about it is that the device will be ultra-thin and extremely light weighing around 6 pounds.

The design of the MacBook will be going through a complete overhaul. The device will be available in many colors including white, red, blue, orange, and lilac.

Some renders of the MacBook Air M2 suggest that it will have a notch. The speakers will be made louder and better. The webcam will be 1080p, the keyboard will get thinner and might be white this time.

The super-powerful M2 chipset is also rumored to be present and it will have the same number of cores as the M1 but will offer faster performance. The MacBook will be having a LED display like the iPad Pro and MacBook Pro.

All these features are based on rumors so it is best to take everything with a grain of salt.

MacBook M2 Expected Release Date and Price

Since it did not release last year, the chances of the MacBook release this year are extremely likely. If tradition follows, then the device will be introduced in the Spring Festival that takes place in March or April every year.

As for the price, the rumors are somewhere around $1200, which is somewhere around 89, 500 Rs. Yikes! That sounds extremely costly but considering all the rumors, Apple will certainly be giving it the specs worthy of the price.
