The Del Mar Schools Education Foundation (DMSEF) is continuing to work towards its goal of raising $1.8 million by June 2019 in order to fund fully credentialed STEAM+ specialists to teach science, technology, engineering, art, music, and physical education in all eight elementary schools in the Del Mar Union School District (DMUSD). DMSEF is a parent-run nonprofit with a core mission of providing all children in DMUSD equal opportunities for enriching educational experiences. “I volunteer my time to DMSEF because I am passionate about education and want our kids to have the very best possible experience,” said Samantha Madhosingh, DMSEF President and Chairman. “They need a robust STEAM+ curriculum in addition to all the wonderful teaching they get from their classroom teachers.” DMSEF board member Ryan Gordon agreed that STEAM+ programs are “critical to the development of compassionate and morally intelligent young members of our community.” To learn more about how to support DMSEF visit www.dmsef.org.
