The North Shore Girls Softball League (NSGSL) celebrated its 30th season anniversary earlier this year at the league’s opening night. The girls dressed up and paraded in their special 30th anniversary shirts. Debbie Ewing, NSGSL founder and first president, along with her family, attended the evening and spoke to the 300 girls and their families about the league’s local roots. Debbie and a couple of her friends started the league for their daughters in 1989, recruiting friends, neighbors, and girls from the local Little League, and using borrowed and donated equipment. Despite its humble beginnings, the NSGSL is still growing and thriving today.

NSGSL serves girls ages 5 to 14 in the communities of Carmel Valley, Solana Beach, Del Mar, Fairbanks Ranch, Rancho Santa Fe, and Torrey Hills. Discover more at www.northshoregirlssoftball.com.
