The League of Amazing Programmers hosted their 2nd Annual Parent Night and unveiled their new expanded space, The Innovation Lab. Over 100 current League parents, community partners, and prospective parents attended the event, which also highlighted the accomplishments the League and its students have experienced in the past year. “We are so proud of this work and love watching our student’s impressive progress. Every day these kids amaze me. I’m confident the next Steve Jobs or Bill Gates will be a League student,” said Executive Director Vickie Barks.

The League is a nonprofit organization that teaches San Diego youth in grades 5 through 12 Java programming, culminating with the Oracle junior programmer certificate, which helps prepare students for career or college readiness in STEM fields. The League will be offering new student workshops throughout the summer in both their Carmel Valley and San Marcos locations. For more information call 858-284-0481 or email info@jointheleague.org.
