A record number of community members attended Resounding Joy’s 7th Annual Heart of a Child benefit concert at Irwin M Jacobs Qualcomm Hall, raising over $85,000 for the Ariana Miller Music with Heart Program, which provides music therapy to local children suffering from heart disease and other serious illnesses. The event, co-hosted by San Diego television personality Pat Brown and network television director Hal Grant, featured a diverse lineup of local talent, including special guest performer Merrick Hanna, who astounded the audience with his “flo-bot”-style dance moves.

“It is wonderful to bring the best young musical talent in San Diego to the community in this format at the prestigious venue of Qualcomm Hall while also raising record funds for Resounding Joy’s Ariana Miller Music with Heart Program,” said Heart of a Child Event Chair Dr. Jeffrey Miller. To date, the program has provided no-cost music therapy to over 1,500 seriously ill patients at Rady Children’s Hospital. Learn more at www.resoundingjoyinc.org.
