The Sacker Family Has Grown With the Community
From the Beginning
Scott and Alisa Sacker have lived in Carmel Valley for so long that the area was not even developed when they arrived. “We bought our home in Torrey Hills when everything was just dirt back in 1998. It has grown into a really amazing community,” Scott said. “We are still in the same house, having raised two kids and three Labradors. We’ve remodeled our house over the past 10 years, doing a large part of the work and decorating ourselves.” They enjoy Carmel Valley because it is family-oriented, dog friendly, and has lots of close restaurants and entertainment.
They have two children, Jessica and Michael. Jessica, age 19, is currently a sophomore at Northwest Christian University in Eugene, OR, studying elementary education. Michael, age 17, is a junior at Canyon Crest Academy and is a varsity pole vaulter. He also works at Burger Lounge in the Flower Hill mall.
The Sackers own Team Tongue Tie, which specializes in laser tongue tie releases for babies, children, and adults. They also help new mothers breastfeed better. Scott is the COO, office manager, and IT expert. Alisa is a pediatrician of over 20 years. Her sister, Rosanne Berger, is a dentist, making it a true family business. Also on staff is the team’s lactation consultant, Rachel Beaubier. “We are very passionate about spreading the word about tongue and lip ties,” they shared. “We are trying to get mothers and babies to breastfeed better and longer. Breastfeeding should not be a struggle.”

Alisa attended medical school at Wayne State University in Michigan. While Scott was attending UCLA for computer science and linguistics, the two accidentally met in West Los Angeles in 1994 while living in the same condominium complex. Scott proposed marriage after dating for only three weeks, and they have been married for over 22 years! “Scott planned and executed an amazing surprise renewal of vows for our 10- and 20-year anniversaries,” Alisa smiled. They began vacationing in Kauai on their honeymoon in 1996 and have gone back almost every year since as a family.
When not working, Alisa can be found running, hiking, and going to Orange Theory Fitness in Carmel Valley. Scott “lives to ride” his Harley Davidson Road Glide Special. He also speaks fluent Mandarin. Together they enjoy wine tasting, eating out as a family, watching movies, and spending time with their dogs, Caleb and Mocha.
