Locals to Perform in ALS Benefit Concert
Local performers are slated to appear at the Striking a Chord ALS Benefit Concert on Saturday, July 29 at the Irwin M Jacobs Qualcomm Hall. Emmy Award-winning broadcast journalist and author Jane Mitchell will serve as the mistress of ceremonies, and vocal coach and performer Cris O’Bryon is serving as the musical director. All proceeds will benefit the ALS Association.
The concert is the second benefit concert organized by 17-year-old Canyon Crest Academy student Megan Spector, following her aunt Marjie Block’s ALS diagnosis.
