Though a newcomer to the 92130 community, Snowden McFall and her husband Spencer Whiting are thoroughly enjoying their new life in Carmel Valley. Snowden, a motivational speaker and author of six self-help books, recently relocated from Florida. “We live in a great neighborhood that is welcoming and friendly. I love that everyone seems to be committed to living a healthy lifestyle,” stated Snowden, who enjoys watching the sun set over the Pacific and spending time outdoors.
As a professional speaker and corporate trainer, Snowden motivates and inspires people both professionally and personally. She has been in the industry for 25 years and presents custom keynote speeches and training. “I fire up and engage the workforce, reduce stress, and improve performance. I love helping companies be more successful with their employees and customers,” revealed Snowden.
Writing is a large part of Snowden’s life and is an endeavor that she has pursued since she was a child. “I started journaling, then writing for the school newspaper, etc. As an entrepreneur, I began writing after teaching a weekend seminar called ‘Making a Difference in the World,’ where people worked on a dream or major goal,” she shared. “Attendants left the program with a full action plan and a variety of tools to be successful. That program became my first book, Fired Up! How to Succeed by Making Your Dreams Come True.” According to Snowden, all of her books are applicable to both business and personal situations.
Snowden is inspired by those that attend her seminars, and she enjoys getting to know audience members before her programs. “Everyone has challenges and hardships but people are courageous and creative about how they handle them. Their stories are so extraordinary, and they touch me,” she revealed. When she lived in Florida, Snowden was actively involved in community service projects, with a focus on groups that helped empower women. She was named as a National Women in Business Advocate by the Small Business Administration for her nonprofit work with female entrepreneurs.
Snowden is now looking to serve the Carmel Valley community in a similar capacity. She concluded, “I’m still getting to know the area and have been doing a great deal of networking with various groups, trying to meet people and come across organizations where I can add value and make a difference.”
