Many families from all eight Del Mar Union School District (DMUSD) schools attended their site’s second annual STEAM+ Family Night in January. Specialists from each school designed hands-on activities for families and children that highlighted the integration of science, technology, engineering, arts, mathematics, and physical education, including a 3-D adventure, roller coaster design, robot programming, and more. “What a night it was!” said Jeannie Thomas, president of the Del Mar Hills PTA. “Every school was alive with innovation and excitement as families learned and explored together.”

STEAM+ Family Night is an annual event that helps showcase the exceptional STEAM+ learning taking place in DMUSD schools for prospective students and their families. Free childcare and pizza was provided to attendees by the PTA. Discover more at
