The Del Mar Schools Education Foundation (DMSEF) President Ty Humes and Vice President of Marketing Andrew Zack presented the Del Mar Union School District (DMUSD) a check for $1,270,000. The money raised by DMSEF will provide the district with 14 certified STEAM+ teachers for the upcoming school year.

The STEAM+ program is designed to provide robust and engaging opportunities for students to experience an interdisciplinary approach to learning. These dynamic learning environments require students to think critically, collaborate with each other, and explore solutions to real-world problems. STEAM+ prepares students to connect experiences from a variety of disciplines by fusing together things like science and engineering with technology and art. STEAM+ is made possible through donations from parents, community members, and corporations. DMUSD students will benefit from the generosity of donors like DMSEF who value the importance of this innovative program. For more information about DMSEF visit www.dmsef.org.
