Deanne Motsenbocker founded her business Motsenbocker Properties on honest relationships and good communication. “I consider it an honor and privilege to be trusted with what to most people is their largest and most important investment – their home,” said Deanne. She’s proud that her business has grown primarily through client referrals. “People feel they are helping their friends and family by referring them to me when they need a Realtor,” she said. “I believe strongly in treating every client with the special attention they deserve.”
That special attention begins from the moment someone starts considering buying or selling a home and reaches out for advice, and lasts beyond the close of escrow. She helps sellers by providing market information, strategies, and staging, and she loves finding just the right home for buyers. Whether clients are searching for their first home, seeking a larger home as their family grows, or downsizing as children move out, Deanne knows how to listen and learn what is important to people, and has a penchant for helping them achieve their goals. As a Certified Negotiation Expert, she excels at bringing people together and guiding them through a smooth escrow and closing. Afterwards, she’s always available to answer questions about home ownership or provide service referrals.
Real estate runs in the family, and Deanne started out with a formidable body of knowledge from day one. “My mother had been a Realtor for 45 years, so I knew firsthand the commitment it takes to have a successful real estate business,” explained Deanne. She combined her understanding of real estate with the experience gathered from other branches of her career. After earning her degree in Journalism and Advertising from University of Oregon, Deanne bought and sold radio and TV advertising in San Diego, honing her business and negotiation skills. She later returned to school to earn a master’s degree in Counseling and School Psychology – as a single mother of young children, she wanted to work on a school calendar schedule.
“As my children got older, though, the real estate bug was biting,” said Deanne with a smile. She launched her business in Northern California in 2005, and finally moved herself and her business to San Diego in 2010. Deanne’s son Ryan joined Motsenbocker Properties earlier this year. Ryan, who has a degree in Business Managment from SDSU and is a licensed Realtor, brings his tech savviness, great communication skills, and shares his mother’s energy and enthusiasm for helping others and connecting with clients.
