Twenty Carmel Valley residents recently took to the stage in J*Company’s production of Seussical, Jr. Each performer contributed their skills to help make up a cast of talented young actors. The show was a colorful, comedic take on Dr. Seuss’s classic characters, featuring Horton the Elephant, the Cat in the Hat, and other reader favorites.“There was always a lesson to be learned in Dr. Seuss’s books,” said Artistic Director Joey Landwehr. “And those lessons are still relevant, if not more so, in today’s world. We’re proud to have our talented cast of kids presenting these lessons.”

Seussical, Jr. opened in mid-January and ran throughout the rest of the month. All performances took place at the David and Dorothea Garfield Theatre at the Lawrence Family Jewish Community Center. J*Company is based out of the center.
