New Faces on Campus

Carmel Valley is pleased to welcome two new principals to Carmel Del Mar School and Carmel Valley Middle School. Carmel Del Mar has announced Jessica Morales as the next principal for the school. As an exceptional educator with over thirteen years of experience as a classroom teacher and administrator, Jessica is committed to her new title. She was an assistant principal in the Carlsbad Unified School District, and a teacher at both Ocean Air and Sage Canyon Schools. While working within the Del Mar Unified School District, she served as a member of the Mathematics Curriculum Committee and worked to collaborate on new curriculum and resources developed to further support the district’s teachers. Her students and co-workers have appreciated her work ethic, including her ability to establish solid relationships and support children, families, and staff members.

Carmel Valley Middle School has chosen Cara Dolink as the school’s new principal. Cara has a background in mathematics and has taught at various levels from seventh grade math to Precalculus. Originally from Shreveport, LA, she has had the opportunity to work at different types of schools in Louisiana, Stockton, Oceanside, Julian, and now the Carmel Valley/Del Mar area. She served as a part-time teacher and administrative dean at Julian High School before becoming the school’s principal. For the last three years she worked as the assistant principal at Torrey Pines High School. “I hope to bring an enthusiasm for education and support to all students in being successful,” stated Cara.
